Sometimes the best moments are the ones that aren’t planned at all. A few weeks ago, I got a last-minute message from Noah — their cruise port had changed unexpectedly, and instead of heading to Jamaica, they’d be stopping in Cozumel! He asked if there was any chance I could squeeze in a session, and of course, I said yes!

I quickly set them up for a shoot at Buccanos, one of my favorite spots on the island — a gorgeous, private beach with turquoise water and golden sand that feels like your own little paradise. What Val didn’t know was that Noah had an even bigger plan in mind… a proposal!
During the session, as the sun started to dip low over the horizon, Noah dropped to one knee right there on the beach. It was such a beautiful, emotional moment — just the two of them, with only two kind strangers sitting nearby who started cheering and clapping as Val said yes! Truly one of those moments that gives you goosebumps.
After the shoot, we headed back to the studio to refresh, and that’s when I noticed Val wearing a delicate Ukraine necklace. It instantly sparked conversation — my husband Sasha is Ukrainian, so we couldn’t help but connect over that! It was such a heartfelt detail that tied the whole experience together in the most unexpected and meaningful way.
Noah and Val, thank you for trusting me to capture your surprise engagement here in Cozumel. It was such an honor to witness your love story unfold on this island — a reminder that sometimes, last-minute plans turn into lifelong memories. 💍🌴✨
