Making up for Lost Time
2020, the first year of the pandemic (and those that followed), was the “Great Pause”. Everywhere around the world, we paused our lives in so many different ways. It didn’t matter if you were rich or struggling financially. Actor, engineer, CEO, homeless or volunteer. It didn’t matter who you were. CoVID didn’t care if you were family, and it certainly didn’t care if you were lovers trying to build a future together. CoVID was a big, yucky ‘nope’ to everyone’s dreams and plans.
What happened to all the wedding plans that had already been made? Sadly, for those who’d already made preparations, most had to be postponed, then postponed again, and maybe, some were outright cancelled. And of course this also meant that all around the world, dreams of romantic proposals were also crushed and set aside. Which is so sad, considering one of the most exciting and memorable times for photography clients, is their wedding session. And of course a wedding in a beautiful, tropical island destination like Cozumel is tops on the list
But since travel has opened up and things have gotten pretty much back to normal, we've started to see a wonderful trend in our booked sessions; Proposals! It seems that after the Great Pause, people have realized it’s time to grab hold of the moment, and they’ve decided they want to make it extra special. Romantic, fun, creative proposals are happening all over the island. And even better, every one of them has resulted in a “yes!”
