Lisa & Thomas | A Beautiful Wedding at Buccanos

Captured by Mik ’n Drik Photography

There’s something special about destination weddings by the ocean—and Lisa and Thomas’ wedding at Buccanos was one of those days that felt effortless from beginning to end.

We started coverage at 4:30 PM, giving us time to document the details before the ceremony and create relaxed family portraits while everyone was together. One thing we loved about this wedding day was that Lisa made great use of the studio space at Buccanos for getting ready with her daughters and all the ladies. Having an open, comfortable area with air conditioning made such a difference—everyone could freshen up, take a breath, and enjoy the excitement of getting ready together before heading outside.

Before the ceremony, we captured family moments and photographed the beautiful wedding décor details that had been thoughtfully prepared throughout the venue.

At 6:30 PM, the ceremony began.

The weather truly could not have worked out better. It was warm and tropical, exactly what you imagine for a Caribbean wedding day—hot, but with no rain, and just enough breeze from the ocean to make everything feel comfortable and alive.

One detail that stood out all day long was the infinity symbol woven throughout the wedding styling. It appeared in meaningful touches across the décor and details—a beautiful reflection of Lisa and Thomas’ story and what this day represented.

And then came the vows.

Their vows were incredibly heartfelt and sincere. You could feel the emotion move through everyone there. There were soft smiles, tears, and moments where the entire group seemed completely drawn into their words. Those are the moments we love capturing—the real connection that makes each wedding unique.

As the evening continued, we made sure to take advantage of the incredible setting from every angle—including drone photography.

If there’s one recommendation we always make for weddings at locations like Buccanos, it’s this: add drone coverage to your photography package. Seeing the venue, ocean, ceremony setup, and celebration from above creates images that simply can’t be captured any other way. The perspective is unforgettable and adds an entirely different story to your wedding gallery.

Lisa and Thomas, thank you for trusting Mik ’n Drik Photography to document such a meaningful day. It was an honour to be part of your celebration and capture memories for you, your family, and everyone who shared in this beautiful wedding.

We wish you both a lifetime of love, adventure, and endless moments together ♾️
